Jason S. Moore: Man About Towns

Beaches: Boracay & Bohol

Posted in Out Of Town by Jason S. Moore on November 16, 2012

One great thing about living in Manila is the proximity to amazing beaches.  Beach vacations aren’t usually my thing, but it makes for a nice weekend.  Here are few from recent weekends in Boracay and Bohol.

Great pictures, all very well constructed. I like the one with the two kids, the colors of the sea and of the wet sands are perfectly delicate, and the contrasts are damn good. The first one is very dynamic, with the people coming into frame, on the right. And even if the beach is slightly overexposed, it creates a very luminous mood that really suits the picture. The last one has something nostalgic, with the leaning tgrees and the boats, of all sizes, ashore, and the man watching.

thanks for your comment – yes, the beach/sky is pretty much blown out in most of these shots. i like that look. i typically expose for the people and let the rest of the scene fall where it may.
